The things people actually want to know
Do I need a permit to replace my windows?
It depends on your city. The City of Riverside exempts a true like-for-like replacement that does not alter the frame or the weatherproofing, while Moreno Valley requires a permit for most window replacements. We check the rule for your address and pull the permit when the job needs one.
How long does the work take?
Most window replacements are done in a day. Full-frame work, oversized openings and stucco repair run longer, and you hear that at the estimate rather than on the morning of the install.
Is there still a federal tax credit for windows?
No. The federal energy efficient home improvement credit ended for property placed in service after December 31, 2025, so anyone still advertising it is working from old information.
Will new windows meet the current energy code?
Yes. Riverside County sits in Title 24 Climate Zone 10, where replacement glazing needs a U-factor of 0.30 or lower and an SHGC of 0.23 or lower. Every window we install carries an NFRC label, so you can check those two numbers yourself before the sticker comes off the glass.
